No idea what you consider a "simple character" so I'm going to offer up someone and you can let me know if he's too hard. And yeah, I figured he might be a tad hard to draw.
Which is why I offered up the part about simplifying his design even more.

I mean -- really whatever works for you!
But I do acknowledge this is a quick doodle!
So I don't mind that fact; I just really like your artwork (haha)

Also I figured it was a bust/headshot based on the original example.
