I know you were thinking of a solid background, but I had this paper that made me think of the pages of a botanist's notebook. :) I hope it's not too busy for your tastes!

@Vixyish :0 it looks so cool!!!!!!! The background paper fits so well! I love the layering of the hair paper, it seriously looks like it's braided! And the negative space in the hat is done so well, and the tie around the hat draping over the end feels like it has gravity and drapes really well. And the glasses in the claws is a really nice touch and incorporates them so well without making the face look too busy. And the runes are cut out so nicely!! So many cool textures and I'm so excited to see it in person. It will go lovely on my corkboard with all of my other prints from other artists. I'll be sure to ping you when it's up on my wall!!
