@wylla
That was super sweet of you!! Thank you so much![emoji=heart size=1]
@3idolon
I would love to draw this scene for you! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this commission idea, because many people come to artists with no ideas and are disappointed by the outcome. If I’m being honest, this level of detail will take me about a week of active work, not including other comms/school I am working on. :3
With the amount of detail/dragons/shading (and time) this will take, does $240 USD sound like a good price? This would be a semi-realistic background with detailed light/dark tones.

@CheshireGata
That sounds fair! This is intended to be posted in a FR thread, but at that price I would also love to get it a quality level that would let me get it made as a print, do you think that would be possible? It'd be super cool if I could hang it somewhere.....
Oh and I completely forgot an aesthetic reference I was going to give you. Please let me edit my original thread so you can have them all in once place. I will let you know when it's edited.
Thanks again!

@3idolon
(I won’t be able to respond until Monday after this, just to let you know~)
I am absolutely fine with whatever you do with the art. You can hang it, post it on another site, as long as you don’t claim it as your own. :3 I’ll get started as soon as I can.
I’ll put you down in the USD slot!

@CheshireGata I'm a little confused, what is the distinction between "anthros" and "furries" to you?

Can you animate, draw anthros/furries, or make music? ~ click here ~

@acinonyxjubatus
Anthros are bipedal creatures that usually would be on four legs. Sometimes people ask me if I would draw their bipedal dragon OC because it is not a breed in flight rising. Technically, banescales would fall into this anthro category as well. :)
I hope this clears things up!

[center]@Wylla @3idolon @SilverStarSheep
I just wanted to apologize for the radio silence on my end! My week has been incredibly hectic between juggling school and designing kiosk floor plans for my brother’s business. ^^’
@/SilverStarSheep I will start working on your order in a few days. I’ll send you sketches asap! :3
@/Wylla I am almost done shading/adding detail to one of your two floating islands. If all goes well, the should be done from today to Monday at the latest.
@/3idolon I had a few ideas with your scene. If it seems empty right now, it is because I have no dragons on the pillars yet. :) Also, I thinking of not showing the pool of acid directly, but the viewer will see the strange sulfuric glow coming from the floor to imply it is there.
I was thinking about how to have the dragon wings in the stress position since dragons have such strong muscles in their body. So I thought maybe the speaker wrapped their wings in chains, and that the chains hold them out from their body. That way, it would be stretching the two main muscles in their wings.
Here are the sketches so far:

@CheshireGata Oh god, without context I must seem like a crazy person asking you to depict scenes of dragon torture [emoji=mirror scared size=1]
So far I'm loving your ideas in terms of perspective and the lighting from the Wyrmwound pool, and the dragon sketch itself is gorgeous!
I think that chains gives the wrong connotation though, as the dragon would appear to be a prisoner or there against its will. It's alright if you have to handwave physiology a little bit since it's hard to tell what a dragon stress position would be. I think in the same way holding out your arm is easy at first but incredibly tiring in the long run, simply holding the wings out from the body in a maybe half bent/awkward position would at least suggest this was a unnatural position the dragon was assuming by choice, in the same way that bowing before royalty is an unnatural human position, or assuming a crouched attitude of prayer. I'm more interested in that connotation that the dragon is assuming a position for ritualistic purposes, if that makes sense?
As an addendum, the subspecies in general is a very proud (pushing into arrogant) one, so while any dragon speaking before the council would assume this submissive stress position, they would very much assume a haughty attitude even despite that [emoji=mirror laughing size=1] I was thinking about that because I greatly enjoy the ferocity of the dragon in your sketch.
But yes, I'm really enjoying your ideas so far! Did you receive my PM about my PayPal account? Just want to make sure you have the relevant information. Thanks!
