It was early afternoon when you entered the forest, but as you make your way deeper into the foliage, you could swear it was midnight-- the wood is so dark here you can barely see the path in front of you. Just as you begin to wonder how you'll find your way back out, you catch the slightest glimmer out of the corner of your eye. Turning to face it, there's nothing there-- and then, the glimmer comes again.
It blinks in and out, illuminating the path in front of you. Another light appears a few feet away, shimmering in the dark. You walk towards it, and the forest goes dark for a moment, before another light, further down the path, beckons you onward. The trail of lights goes on for what might be minutes or miles-- until you find yourself deep, deep in the forest, standing in front of an ancient tablet. It's clearly valuable-- the tablet looks as though it's been carved from a massive chunk of precious stone-- but something in your mind shouts 'danger!' when you reach out to touch the engraving.
You pull your hand back and find another light-- this one leading you towards a cave, almost totally camouflaged by the curtains of moss hanging in the cave's entrance. You cautiously make your way through the overgrowth and duck under the moss into the cave. The cold air of the cave is refreshing after your hike through the wood, and you stand there breathing it in for a few minutes before you realize someone is watching you.
