He didn’t squint against the bright sun, and his eyes seemed hollow. Instead of looking around, he turned his head and sniffed the air. Other dragonets hated the bright sun at first and would try to learn their surroundings via sight. After a few days, a doctor informed his parents that he might be blind. They were heartbroken but loved him all the same. He spread his wings in front of him and whisked his tail side to side so he could figure out where he was. After another year or so, he met *insert dragon’s name here*. (S)he noticed how despite all his techniques, Cecil still struggled to get around. (S)he created an item (s)he called “Cecil’s Halo”; a ring of silver that encircled his head from a harness he’d wear around his shoulders. This would prevent him from stumbling into things without making him look stupid. *D/N* gave Cecil his special halo as soon as it was done, and he was delighted. Now he could navigate without depending on others or his own limbs. He also has telepathy, which is stronger even than adults’. He is a powerful dragon despite his inability to see.
