The Inky Quill |
As you open the door, you are greeted by the smell of paper, glue and leather. Golden light falls through the windows, illuminating the large shelves that reach all the way up to the ceiling. In them, countless books are neatly ordered, sorted by size and color. Someone has put their heart into organizing them, there is almost something artistic about it. The only sound audible is the scratching of a quill on paper. You round a corner and find yourself in front of a large writing desk. Everything on it has its rightful place, the mahogany surface is neatly polished and reflects the light falling on it. Behind the desks sits a Fae, an inky quill in hand, focused on a piece of parchment in front of him. He looks up as you approach. He does not say a word, but even without him speaking, you somehow know that he is a storyteller--and that he is eager to tell your story, too. |
Hello and welcome to my humble word workshop! Feel free to snoop around and should any questions arise, don't hesitate to ask! I'm always happy to help you out!
Please make sure to read through the rules before ordering.

Tab Description
The Obsidian Cove is a group of smugglers and occasional mercenaries that has gathered around their leader Fate. Each of them brings their own specific abilities, but also their own, sometimes very dark past. What originally started as a group that stuck together only due to pragmatism has by now turned into a family, connected by trust and appreciation. |

Backstory (descriptive, no dialogue)
Born and raised in a Coatl-only lair, Claudius did not come into contact with other dragon breeds until later in his life. He grew up with a heavily Coatl-influenced view on the world and strong beliefs into Sornieth's deities. His younger brother Ambrose was born with only a small gap in age and the two were inseparable. They did almost everything together, even as they grew older. Claudius was the passionate and loud one, while Ambrose was calm and optimistic. No matter what happened, they'd have each other's backs in a brotherly balance. It was when they had just grown into adults that they decided to leave their sheltered home together and see the wonders of the world. On this journey, the brothers came across a wind clan, where Ambrose fell in love with a black feathered Skydancer named Fate. Claudius knew the stories the elders told about dragons with no color to feathers and scales. They carried sickness and bad luck, cursing whoever stayed with them. But being with Fate and seeing Ambrose happy and filled with affection made Claudius doubt the elders' stories. He was convinced they were words spoken in fear and ignorance. |

Prose (includes dialogues and other figures)
A movement below her caught Fate’s attention. Something hurried through the trees below, something too big to be a deer or another animal. Normally, Fate would not waste much thought on it, as many other dragons were roaming around the Crystalspine Reaches. However, something about the movements of the shadow below stroke her as odd. It almost seemed like the dragon was running from something? “Nemoni.” Fate didn’t even have to shout to get her friend’s attention. Nemoni turned mid-air, following Fate’s gaze to the ground. Simultaneously, both dragons dived down a bit to get a better view on the events taking place. A Skydancer broke out from the woods onto a clearing. Their scales were black, sunlight reflected from the delicate silver ornaments on their body and wings. They stopped in their tracks for a split second, looking back to where they came from. They seemed not to notice the two spectators in the sky. Unattentive. A very dangerous trait. Suddenly, a second dragon jumped out from between the trees. It was a Guardian, more than twice the size of Silver, as Fate dubbed the Skydancer in her head. Her scales shimmered in the color of liquid blood. Even from her distant position, Fate could see the crimson one’s threatening gesture as she approached the ornamented one. They in turn made a few hasty steps back, apparently preparing to run. But they were too slow. Crimson leaped forward, jumping for their throat. Only barely, her prey managed to evade the attack, almost stumbling. "Seems that luck's on their side at least", Fate commented dryly. Inwardly, however, she was contemplating what to do. Silver was not her problem, she didn't even know them. Her and Nemoni had a mission to fulfill and getting involved would not only endanger that, but their lives as well. "No", Nemoni answered next to her, her gaze fixed on the fighting pair, "she's just playing him." |

- I will write pieces with dragons (default), humanoids, or other beings as characters. If you want your order to be written with something OTHER than dragons, please inform me beforehand.
- I have a full-time job and do writing as a hobby. I will try and finish your orders as fast as possible, but please be aware that I might take 2-3 weeks. If you don't want that, that is fine, but I cannot guarantee anything then. Please tell me when ordering if you don't want me to contact you directly.
- My prices are fixed. You can pay in treasure, gems, or mixed. I will start working as soon as I received your payment.
- For orders of the category "long", I will send you at least one update in between.
- If for any reason you want to cancel your order, I will return your payment depending on the work I did. If I haven't started, I will repay it all.
- After I completed your order, I will do one complete rework for free and a second free rework for minor adjustments. Prices for further big changes will be negotiated.
