Have you tried clicking on the ingredient you have currently selected to de-select it before choosing another one?
So, is the event ending "on 15th, at 6:00"? Or only Galore's gifts?

Oooh... you get more spaces to put ingedients on after the initial 6. Ok, I just didn't understand how the mini game worked.
