In general I love this. Lots to like and lots to get used to! My actual issues are as follows:
1.
Bonding my familiars today on desktop, I suddenly felt motion sick :( I've never had this problem before. I do get migraines.
2.
I really dislike that fav'd items don't change colour to a golden item frame any more. It made it easy to see what had been fav'd and what hadn't. Now if I want to easily see it, I have to filter by fav, send to vault, and see what's left. :(
3.
The difference between "greyed out" buttons and non, e.g. the "bond familiar" button after and before it's used, is more difficult to tell the difference between at a glance.
Thank you so much for all the hard work. [emoji=fae happy size=1]

Wow, this was a lot more changes than I was expecting.
I am not here to say mean things about the site. Flight Rising runs ads, so I'm sure the more professional look is for advertisers to want their ads here. I get that. But it's also giving me the Icky feelings I've had on other sites that have gone this direction. I won't call the overall visual change a sign that The End Is Nigh, but it is definitely a red flag in my book.
I miss my familiar count being up by my username. The achievements as well. I can't say that I'm a fan of the new set up of the profile in the top corner.
I switched to desktop mode immediately even though I am on mobile 99% of the time because I am most a casual player who had a lot of nostalgia for this site. Seeing that it hadn't changed all that much a few months ago was a lovely thing! I can't currently use the dark mode because I can't handle everything suddenly being bright again anytime I go anywhere that isn't the front page.
The buttons being lighter to indicate that a dragon can't be exalted/sold/breed/sent to the hibernal den? That's evil. Actually evil. I can't tell them apart even when I'm staring directly at them. Before I could tell at a glance. There's updating, and there's removing functionality. Please, if you would be so kind: Take this paragraph and shove it into the face of whoever thought that was a good idea. You, Dev, or Manager who thought making the buttons for what can and cannot be done with a dragon indistinguishable. Bad, very bad. You should be ashamed of yourself!
Lastly, just in case something of this nature is being discussed behind the scenes. If "an option" to watch ads to skip cool down times or continue fighting in the coliseum becomes a thing, that will make me leave the site forever. I will not look back. Which I'm sure means nothing, coming from the mouth of a non-paying player. I just have hope to squash that thought before it becomes a feature.

I'm all for a mobile-friendly version, as I didn't have a pc for years, but why is it so inconsistent? The home page is fine but as soon as I click over to my user profile, lair, most other things, it goes back to the old layout and I have to swipe side to side to see the full page. It is really annoying.

Is it just me or is the text smaller in some parts? It's not a huge problem for me but could be problematic for those with vision issues.
I'll add a bunch of cool new sparkly art to my signature again- eventually
so far everything seems to be working fine for me, but i have a few nitpicks:

the new dragon hover tooltip is... really, really bad, even on mobile. the alternating colors make it much harder to read without straining my eyes and it makes broadcast messages look worse as well. honestly, the redesigned tooltips look bad in general, especially the big red banner on top... they really strain my eyes

the which waystone feels much less intuitive to use in its new position, since you actively have to scroll to find it rather than it sticking to the bottom of the screen

you have to withdraw all treasure in your vault and hover over the userbar to see the total amount now, it seems?

the homepage feels almost barren because it's so much wider now, there's a lot of empty space

the new settings page is VERY cluttered and visually overwhelming due to being in three big columns, i had to use the new filter bar to find what i was looking for

favorite items used to be much more distinct since their entire item cell would be highlighted yellow, but now they're the same color as regular items. this is probably the most frustrating change for me since i just finished re-organizing my favorited items yesterday

the previous notification on the achievements page where the number was orange instead of beige was much better for communicating an update is available since it's visually distinct, why not keep the orange that arlo notifications have...?

ETA: i completely agree with others that the grayed-out buttons to indicate an action is unavailable are not dark enough to easily indicate they're actually unavailable, the worst offender so far being the bond button for familiars
but i also have nice things to say about it!

i love the new icons on the clan hub and support hub! they look SO good

the redesigned account bar in the top right is very clean! i like it a lot!

all the new buttons look very polished and match the site revamp very well!

finally, the old broadcast messages from 2017 are gone! i always wondered what the point of those were since they were never regularly updated!

the slate theme looks really good, i love the dark blues it uses!
overall, despite some criticisms (mostly accessibility-related), i think this is an mostly an improvement from the previous site! it's gonna take some getting used to and certain fixes are definitely needed, but this is a good first step towards making the site work better for every platform [emoji=thorntail laughing size=1]

maybe the real tidelord was the friends we made along the way
I don't like it :( can we have a setting to change it back to legacy? it hurts my eyes and i'd like wider pages, but wide setting makes the elements of the page blurry

Call me Parhypate! ✦ she/he/they ✦ FR+17 ✦ DC: Parhypate Weirdo who likes drawing, reading, writing, dragons, dinosaurs and nature!
The FR logo in the top right corner on the banner is layered weird. There's two of them back to back (when viewed from my lair page)

I can't figure out how images in sigs work. Tree button does nothing. :(
Can we please have an option to turn off most of the hover/alt text?
It just seems like the hover text is bigger/more "sensitive"/more intrusive than it used to be somehow, so if I even graze a button with my mouse I get a block of text. Scrolling around feels so visually busy now.
I assume some of this is a screen reader thing, but I'd appreciate the option to turn it off if we're not using one.
I also really don't like the new pop-up stat block on the dragon lair. It's way too big.
