okay you're knockin' it outta the park with these last few dragons, and i love that we get a creepy one to follow up a certified cutie.
i think this might already be my favourite breed ever, but even if it wasn't i'd have to praise SUCH a strong design-- it has a couple of clear inspirations, but a distinct identity that goes beyond just kinda reflecting an archetype. i'm so glad it's got the one eye because that really stands out as a charm point to me.
it's somehow found a sweet spot where it's not at all underwhelming without a linebreaking tert, but it totally rocks the really dramatic ones. and pretty much all the terts look great to me!? the sense of perspective on the wings is stellar, with genes like glitch. i do once again question the selection of primary/secondary parallels, but i can be patient :p
also, the artwork itself is SO nice... what a good balance of sharp and round, good proportions, fun to look at... those muscles and swirly pointy bits... looove the weird little tail, those Feets...! i also noticed the chickenish proportions before i even saw the rooster gene *chef's kiss*
not only that, but even the M pose feels dynamic-- it's a rather intimidating stance, like it's lunging or roaring or going BLEHHH all vampire-style. REALLY good effect with belfry, i gotta say.
more generally, i really really enjoy how the last few ancients have all introduced genes that use colours in new ways, like quagga, dimension/warp, belfry and candlelight... like all these different accent colours are unlocking SO much new potential for different combinations to work together, and it's so fun to scry and be surprised!
(maybe it's just me, but i honestly hope that at least a couple genes of this type stay exclusive to ancients, because i think having really unique primary/secondary options gives so much incentive to consider an ancient when scrying an existing dragon *w* dimension/warp especially work best on a dragon without apparel!)

Hello! Earlier I posted about these being the ugliest dragons so far. Honestly, I felt extremely guilty after writing that!
They're not my style, but they are by no means ugly. I did enjoy finding genes for them that made them look really cool and unique. I'm sorry I was being so negative earlier.
I also think the devs are doing an amazing job coming up with new designs all the time. That takes such an impressive amount of creativity.

So, let me re-introduce my new power couple!!
