Forgive me for the question but I'm kind of confused- are these items just available for a limited time, or is this like the season cycles where a bunch of stuff changes until next season?

How about some actual MP cycling and you cycle OUT some stuff permenantly and cyle IN some stuff for a while?
Like we've had coatl scrolls for NINE YEARS
I'm sick of coatls. Have been for years.
I wanna buy WC scrolls whenever I want
I used to drop $40 a month on FR to buy WC scrolls twice a month
since they were cycled out I legit haven't felt a reason to spend USD on gems on this game
But I'd probably go back to spending $20-40 a month to buy WC scrolls
Means I also don't have to feel like I'm 'wasting' a scroll on a non G1 or super special WC
I don't mind coatls but ngl having a swap with WCs would be WONDERFUL so both have they're time. Waiting for two weeks out of an entire year for WC scrolls is a -lot-

Apologies if you didn't want to be pinged - but yeah same sentiment here. Obviously I'm far newer player so WC scrolls cycling was something I'd known (and been irritated by) from the start, but especially over the past few years I found that non-G1 wildclaws with strange or even common color and/or gene combos are so rare to come by on a G2+ dragon because...well, few breed their G1s, much less a "trophy" G1 wildclaw! And it shouldn't feel painful for me or anybody else to use a WC scroll on anything other than a G1. (It does. They're all still sitting around somewhere because of it.)
I'd suggested a while ago or supported suggestions about Wildclaw and Coatl scrolls taking turns either every 6 months or yearly - it will not hurt the coatl population at this point lol. Not to mention it would keep both "rare" instead of wildclaw pretty much being "scarce" instead.
The apparel is a whole different beast, but it's the breed scrolls really getting my goat these past couple years.

There was confirmation regarding what gets picked for cycling; re: old items getting moved to make room for newer item stock,
are we going to see the lace apparel set move back into the gem market place with its recolor companion? i dont see the clear line of reasoning for the pastel lace set to be cycled out, and i wish it would reclaim its spot in the gem apparel tab!

@Fehn
They're just available for a limited time, for the dates mentioned in the first post (so until May 15th). They'll be back again for a week or so later in the year, and then around this time next year, so on and so forth.

In the past we've received very clear feedback from the community overall that they would appreciate more notice and more communication regarding cycled gem marketplace item availability. This is why we've provided an update on the front page and on social media about their return to the marketplace.

yes! I definitely appreciate the communication and announcement in multiple venues. plus, I can't keep track of all the cycling gem items, so it's convenient to have them all in a news post.
also, she's finally done wooooo
