Refactoring is long and often tedious, take your time and can't wait to see new features when they arrive!
This is a good decision. I am glad to wait, and hope that this makes your work less stressful. Thank you for always doing your best and working so hard!

But yay I look forward to what's ahead this year! [emoji=obelisk happy size=1]
Thank you for the update and all you do <3
Thank you staff for always working so hard to keep the site going, and good luck with the refactoring.
Can someone briefly explain what revamping on the site means? Is that different things such as gene, apparel, and bug fixes, or updating site features? Sorry if I didn't understand the post right.

@Juliet42 An example of "revamping" would be, for example, the hoard revamp which added a search and sorting features, as well as virtual stacks. It's anything that adds new stuff to a feature already on the site, and includes bug fixes. New genes and apparel are just that, new.

i'm too gay and missing too many braincells to understand any of that coding talk, but thank you for being transparent!

lol same

Yeah I don't quite get the distinction going on, but it sounds like there's a plan in place!

I'm taking it to mean that they're rewriting the code (refactoring) for the remaining features but won't be overhauling their function and/or appearance in any significant way.
(Hypothetical, possibly incorrect) Example: If they redid the bestiary now, I would imagine it would look and function as it did beforehand from the front end (what we as the users see), while the back end (the actual code it runs on) would be rewritten to be brought up to standard.
e: the hoard would be a much stronger example of what I'm talking about, as it added many features including highlighting items used for swipp/baldwin/etc, search functionality, and virtual stacks, among many others. If the hoard were only refactored instead of revamped/overhauled, it would still function like the old hoard, just possibly with a fresh coat of paint.

...y'know what...
@/Xhaztol, would it be possible to get a list of the features that hadn't gotten their updates yet, similar to last year/year before's list? It'd be cool to do a comparison/see the progress, and also a view of how much/little there is left to do until the refactor's over.

Seconding this! Its not a priority obviously but an updated list would be nice :D

Happy to hear y’all are eager to get out of that refactoring phase. You guys put so much work in to this site, and we greatly appreciate it. I think there is enough content to keep us entertained while y’all wrap that up this year. Excited to see what y’all can do once you can focus on broadening the site. :)
