None of mine won and I'm really crushed. 2 of them there was no skin/accent picked for that familiar. I'm just really heartbroken and I would love some idea as to what I could have done differently with these/why they weren't winning quality. I'm really ready to give up on the game now because I have entered several contests and have never received an hon mention or a win and I just feel I'm not good enough. Any tips? Anything obviously wrong? Any reason why mine just aren't good? Feedback would be really appreciated.

On the skydancer the white parts seem to be solid white and missing the shading and lineart in places (or it's too light). Part of the white on the tail is also covering the lineart on the arm feathering/fur. The lines you have crossing over the feet seem like they may be too dark but I'm not sure on that. There's also some stray pixels that cross over the lineart of the chestpiece and bracers and some non-colored pixels on the belly where the original color of the dragon comes through. Most of it is nitpicky and not very visible if you're not zoomed in but I think the "blank" spots on the tail was the definite dealbreaker for this piece.
On the Coatl there's a line coming out the bottom of the face and into the transparent space you seemed to have missed which is unfortunate. There's also a stray dark line cutting through the chest feathering near where the neck goes into it. The parts on the tail wings and neck could benefit with a smoother gradient and the 'scales' on the black parts of the feet could use some more definition but that's just my preference.
The Tundra has some of the same issues as the Skydancer. The original lineart looks a little too faded/is not noticeable in some parts and the original shadows aren't visible enough in others. The horns coming from the back suffer from this mainly. On the feet, the pixels near the lineart around the claws isn't colored and has some bleed through of the dragon underneath.

Same with me, two of mine were of familiars no one else did and if I did something wrong I’d like to know so I won’t do it again :(

On the Imperial you went a too dark on the wing shading. The area along the wing arm is iffy but the part along the body definitely swallows up the lineart which is a no go. Even zooming in I can't see the difference between line and shadow there. It's a cool effect and I like how it looks but rules say lineart has to be noticeably darker than the colors around it.
The Fae I think you may have gone too dark for the added lineart in places, especially on the big jewel on the sash. I'm not 100% sure how dark "extra" lineart can be compared to the original. Actually... looking through the winners dark line edits seem to be okay. The highlight on the top of the sash on the shadowed inner leg might be "illegal"? Can't quite tell if there's a highlight there on the original art and if not, if that part is too light to be under the shadow layer. Hm. There may not actually be anything technically wrong with this one and they just didn't like it aesthetically. Maybe a little too simple?
On the Ridgeback the chain is completely covering up the original lines and shadows. For next time you want to be sure that the line and shadow layer is on top before submitting!
