Ooh yess, I always wanted something simpler
TOPIC | Fade & Blend
I think that the crazy accent colors overpower the stated purpose of the gene, but a bigger selection is always good.

I am SO stoked about Fade and Blend. I really enjoy the simpler genes, and allowing them to be used to highlight and compliment the more complex genes is A+++.
Literally been waiting to see these for forever [emoji=bogsneak star size=2]
THANK you staff!!

It's all I can hope for that the team slows down on releasing new genes and starts fixing the myriad existing glitches and errors among the genes we already have. Either that or dedicate a portion of staff/volunteers to this outstanding issue. The problems have been piling up for years now. The only things to get fixed were Tapir/Striation and Starmap near their releases.

This. So much this. Sometimes it feels like they are rushing genes out just for the sake of adding new content.
Honestly I'm not very impressed with the genes since the gradients don't seem very well executed. From what I've seen in the scrying, instead of doing a more spread out, smooth fading in the gradients, they just clumped the colors in a very small area and left the rest mostly flat. It's very glaring in these breeds:

(this one specially annoys me, why is the gradient a literal straight line?? Why isn't it following the wing's shape?!!)
Now, on the other hand, I must say fade/blend is a wonderful option for Ringlets, which is a heavily patterned tert I've never, ever found a good use for because it clashes so badly with every other gene.

It also can work really well with other extensive terts like Circuit, Gembond, Smoke and Crackle.

I do agree - this is a good complaint on these genes. It's one that I love on certain breeds, but on the ones you listed - the Skydancer doesn't bother me so much, but the Guardian and the Wildclaw's wings aren't really artfully distributed. In some colors, the gradient is so extreme that it looks like there's three colors - inner third, middle, outer third? But in others - most of them, really - the middle and outer third look entirely flat, and the result is unbalanced.

these are great to match with heavier tert genes, might give me a reason to get a dragon with Circuit now :D
