Yeah I think we mainly just happen to have different tastes in gameplay XD. Games with lots of retired content don't bother me in the slightest, and as I've mentioned I even prefer them for the sense of challenge that gives me. What you brought up regarding so many items getting rarer and rarer in dead accounts just made me realize something too... those games often have a place where content from deactivated accounts is put up for grabbing regularly, like a "pound" for items. That sort of system is helpful when it comes to putting rare items from dead accounts back in circulation... and now I kinda wish there was something similar on FR.

First of all I must agree with you that it's really annoying that FR counts kickstarter familiars in their bestiary when they challenge you to fill it. It would be better if those didn't count for the bestiary total number and were there just as a register of their existence in the site.
Second of all... Keep in mind I've been a newbie before too and yes, I've drooled all over the kickstarter stuff. Hell I
still drool over the light sprite, too, because I joined at the end of the brightshine jubilee and could only get enough for the apparel. Oh and I only got one copy of that apparel, by the way, and I still wish I could have grabbed more in time because I have two dragons that would have looked perfect with it added to their outfits. The same counts for many other retired apparel, I wish I could have more.
And and with this in mind, I question... so what?
I want all that stuff, sure, but it's not the end of the world because I've figured out how to piece together alternative outfits that look just as good on my dragons, and I had lots of fun and satisfaction doing so. So what if I like those familiars I'm never going to get? I've found others that look just as good for my dragons too. Also have some damn respect for the people who backed the kickstarter, without them this game would literally not exist and hell yes, they deserve the privilege to have all that exclusive content as rewards for taking the risk and spending real money on a project that might not even been funded at the end. I have no right to demand the rewards they earned with their money and effort just because I joined later and don't have those things, that would be extremely petty of me.
Not to mention it really troubles me how you speak of veteran players as if we were greedy rich people that play the game solely to laugh at newbies' expense and buy each other's retired items to keep them away from newer players. Guess what? I've been on FR almost from the start and I constantly struggle to save treasure and gems regardless. Just because I have year one items(which I worked very hard to get by the way) it doesn't mean I'm spoiled rich or have access to EVERYTHING in this site, let alone that I can get even close to touching one of those insanely overpriced sprites.
You also speak as if anyone who owns exclusive apparel and familiars only do so to show it off on newbies' faces. The reason why I dressed up my dragon with that year one apparel is because... well I love that dragon, I wanted to make him look cool and that apparel happens to fit him. Period. I'm just having fun with my stuff and playing the game, I'm not trying to make newbies jealous XP.

Are you really going to sit there and tell people that four years is not enough time for old items to come back? Are you really going to sit there and tell people that they deserve to eat **** cus' they were not privileged enough to be on a site early when they didn't even know it existed? Playing dress-up is the whole point of this site. They have the dress-up room and include old apparel for that reason. Are you going to sit there as a veteran and tell me that myself and everyone who came later than you doesn't deserve the chance to buy this stuff at more reasonable prices ourselves? They must've been more reasonable for you when you joined? Why do you think it's fair for the newer people to be condemned to this ******** over pride of having stuff that was given out four years ago?
No. I'm going to sit here as a veteran and tell you to
play.the.game. It's what I've been doing this whole time: I can't afford something? Well in that case I either make it a goal to save for that thing, or if it's not something affordable at all, I put effort into figuring a cheaper alternative. Why should it be different for you? Oh and you speak of newer players for being condemned for joining later? Well right now you're condemning me and other veterans for joining earlier! It's not my fault that I had access to those things back in the day, it's not my fault that I legit enjoy these things and use them to make my dragons look cool, and it's not my fault that they have become expensive. That's merely how demand works and if you can't understand that then, well, I don't really know what to tell you. All I know is that I tried really hard to sound reasonable and respectful in the discussion(sorry if I can sound blunt sometimes, though) and you answered with unnecessary rudeness, so I'm pretty much done with this discussion.
