Included in this PM will be your "role" plus a curse that has effected your character. These roles include the following: [b]A Researcher:[/b] Researchers need to work together to locate all the Mimics in camp. Their goal is to survive each day and they will win once all Mimics are gone. To remove a Mimic, 1 spell per day can be cast on 1 player or NPC to try and banish the Mimic from them. Be careful however, if you mess up and not get a Mimic, they will get more powerful! [b]A Mimic[/b]: These creatures work together to blend in as much as they can. While they sound sand look just like you and I, certain things do feel off about them... When you are selected as Mimic, you will need to change [b]2[/b] of your character's traits. The changes are for you to keep secret and for others to find out to try and snuff you out! From changing a tiny detail from your outfit to changing a personality quirk, anything is on the table as long as players could figure it out with just your submitted character sheet [b]A Banshee[/b]: Banshee disguise themselves as researchers [i]and[/i] mimics. Their goal? Be the only ones standing. Banshee only have to change 1 character trait but can choose more to help blend in with the mimics. If a Banshee can survive 3 days without being spellcasted, they spread and infect another person. [b]Communication between factions:[/b] Researcher are only allowed to communicate [b]in the thread itself[/b]. Mimics however, can PM each other to plan out some tactics. Mimics will know who their fellow Mimics are [b]but will not know which mimic is also a banshee[/b]. [color=red][b]!!VERY IMPORTANT NOTE!![/b][/color] [b]Please do not ever share screenshots of the initial role PM that I will sent you to any other player, even the ones in your own faction! This will defeat the purpose of the deception game. This sort of metagaming is not allowed. [/b] [b]How do Curses work?[/b] Curses can afflict any and all players and NPCs. These curses will effect your characters in different ways [b]and may even make you look like a mimic with a wrong trait[/b]. Is someone acting weirdly because they are a mimic or is it because of a curse? Is someone lying about having a curse to try and trick you? Possible curses [b]will not be made public[/b] and every researcher will start with 1 curse. Watch out! Every day a mimic is around, they can add or change player's curses! [b]What happens to the player that is voted?[/b] If that player is NOT a mimic, nothing happens and they can continue playing the game like normal. If that player IS a mimic, they will be joining behind the scenes to make special scenarios happen or to zap out some curses >:] Their goal will be to aid their fellow mimics from behind the veil... The amount of Researchers and Mimics will also be hidden. Aside from the players, NPCs can also be mimics or even banshee! Will you prevail? Best of luck!
