@Luce it's basically adding a fee to the price to have an unfinished gene done
eg if you'd like to order an adopt of a dragon with crystal, you'd need to pay the sponsoring fee because i haven't drawn that gene yet
i divide the slots into those that would require sponsoring (and thus those that would require new artwork) and those that don't (which i can finish much faster since it's just recoloring + moving layers around) since i don't have a lot of free time
eg if you'd like to order an adopt of a dragon with crystal, you'd need to pay the sponsoring fee because i haven't drawn that gene yet

I have an idea of what I want to order, but one thing I want to know first:
Is the fade gene in your adoptables referenced off the adult pose, or the baby pose?
Because with the baby pose, the top color smoothly blends into the wing and shoulders, like here:
