I decided to revisit your pinglist spreadsheet and oddly enough, although when it initially loads it is possible to scroll down, once it finishes loading the message about the window being too small (which I've seen and ignored in the past) appears and scrolling down becomes seemingly impossible (something odd happens to the pertinent scroll bar). Very strange given that I haven't had problems with it before. I'm afraid there is not much I can do since this can have several causes, your computer may lack sufficient memory, cookies need to be cleared from the cache (google sheets relies on this and is updated frequently by google so the cookies and catch need to be cleared periodically), screen resolution or your browser is zoomed in which can be reset with Ctrl + 0 or shrink the page with Ctrl + -. The most I can do is assist those by adding their name myself with older or memory/ resolution limited devices which is the likest problem people have.

Google Sheets just like Firefox is ineffective when it comes to the resources it uses from your computer or phone as what is known in the computer community as a "memory hog" program. As the sheet gets bigger (by people adding names to it or adding sheets, etc.), it needs more resources to load. Firefox and Google sheets use a lot of RAM and if you have a laptop say with only 8GB of RAM (which is not a lot of memory but is okay, 4GB is much worse and 2GB would be a nightmare depending on what you run), Firefox typically will try to limit itself to the available RAM allocating about 6GB of the available RAM to itself (because windows needs about 1.2 to 2GB to run) slowing down your computer and making it unable to load heavy memory scripted pages like google sheets. Also the resolution and size of the screen can be another issue not helping it load.

The OS (operating system) could also be a factor. As I am sure you can tell many things can be causing this problem and I wish I could help more but there are many solutions and also limitations, like I cannot do anything about a device that is limited to a certain amount of memory. I hoped this helped a little! :)
