I have a question. If I were to order an "artist's choice" entry, would it fall under "specific item requests" or "theme direction" to say something like "It doesn't matter whether you put columns in or not, but if you choose to include them, I prefer style B pillars"?

It sounds like it would go under "theme direction" to me. Since you aren't specifically requesting pillars, but are providing directions in the case that they're added.
But then again I'm not admin so I can't truly know what they would want you to do.
