Biography
|
Narvadeh isn’t what you would call a normal dragon. Or, a normal ship, for that matter. There was once a crew of diligent builders working on a very special project in the middle of the Ashfall Wastes: a ship with the soul of a dragon. Such a taboo scheme was sure to be criticized by the masses, so they were sure to keep it quiet. Fortunately for everyone, it was Narvadeh who volunteered for the experiment. In regards to the crew of the completed ship, it’s pretty strange to have a disembodied voice conversing with you from wherever you are inside the vessel, so Narvadeh prefers to project herself in a holographic form so that her crew feels more comfortable around her. She always had a great deal of magic within her, so this isn’t a very difficult feat for her. Nobody dares to captain the ship aside from Andvari, her loud, bouyant, and most loyal crew member. It’s likely that the ship would hit a few particularly rough patches if somebody else tried to navigate her. However, Narvadeh insists that she could do without his grating tunes. Being a pirate is the only life she could have ever asked for, and she flaunts the flag on her staff beautifully and with great pride. Because of where she was made, she is very accustomed to being steered along rivers of not just water, but of lava as well. In fact, she prefers it. Water is quite fickle and easily thrown about, but lava gives you a tight warm hug and is a little more challenging. The crew tends to find those journeys a lot more harrowing and those who are not accustomed to lava trips tend to stay in the belly of the ship, far, far away from the edges. A great deal of Granite Threshers tend to follow in her wake, which the crew also doesn’t appreciate. It’s quite unsettling to be circled by sharks for days on end, especially when you’re transporting civilians or important items that you wouldn’t want to accidentally fall into their jaws. Narvadeh considers them more as escorts than threats. It’s nice to have a team of heavily armed rock-sharks at your disposal if another team of pirates ever decides to try a hijacking. by NightRising |
