It was worth it.
The Wildclaw thought to herself as she hauled herself over the last of the ruins in the Hewn City; Desdemona the Necromancer heaved a sigh as she allowed her eyes to adjust to the bright light outside. She had once been a bright young hatchling, but one accident, and she'd been forced to use all the necromancer magic she had in her arsenal to keep herself alive. In doing this, she had become an outcast in the Clan she loved. Desdemona was nothing but a shell of her former self, a zombie-like existence she had created for herself so that she could continue to assist her Clan. But it was worth it, she would tell herself, because her Clan was in need of a necromancer -or at least, she thought so- and there was never quite one like her. Desdemona would do her duty, even if it inconvenienced her so far. Not that I really cared for what I looked like before, she grumbled to herself as she made her way back to her Clan. Looking down at her rotting body as a habit, Desdemona sighed. A toe was about to fall off. "I can't have that, can I?" the necromancer muttered under her breath, as she stopped for a few moments. The Wildclaw took the book around her waist and read out the spell needed to restore the toe back to her body. Sighing in relief as the magic succeeded, Desdemona put the book back where it had been before, and went along her way. Bio by Windstrike (220494) |
