Eryens

Eryens is the only dragon left of Carne's former entourage. How the arcane mirror had come in the service of Carne’s predecessors is unknown, but she helped raise the young imperial when she was just a hatchling. Eryens had been with the cult for the bigger part of her life, but she didn’t always agree with its leaders. Only the strongest and most ruthless were fit to be the Plaguebringer’s Priestlords but these current ones had wormed their way to the top through bribes and treachery.

Eryens forged a plan to counter them together with Carne’s parents, a pair of lifelong devotees to the cult. While they succesfully staged a coup and seized control, secret allies of the defeated priests remained among the followers. In order to protect their young daughter from their dark plots they sent her off with Eryens to grow up in a safer realm. Carne sees the mirror as something of a second mother to her.
