Orion is from a very small Plague clan. He was trained to be Plagueland priest by his father, and they traveled the nearby clans to preach about the Plaguebringer. He was raised by his mother and father until one day their village was attacked by a pair of Scar Hunters. As Orion's mother and sister lay dying, Orion and his father threw themselves into their faith, begging for survival and forgiveness, but Orion's mother and sister died anyway.

The father rejected the Plaguebringer's teachings while Orion clung to it, burying himself into the ancient manuscripts his father had until his father cast him out. Cursing his father for blasphemy, Orion now travels the land, seeking a place to reestablish his faith and gather a new following. Recently he has traveled into the Lightning territory, seeking new followers amongst the Stormcatcher's workers.
