Direy came to Jistin just before the new year as an egg, but wasn't hatched until after due to Jistin's desire to find another of her kind to keep her company. When her search proved fruitless, Direy was hatched, albeit alone. And so, once she was grown and received her name, Direy took to the battlefield like a fish to water.

Ellesime of the Brunested Clan has been in Direy's life as a mentor for as long as she can remember. Training has been hard, but under Elle's guidance Direy has flourished into quite the warrior. She found a sister in the least likely of places when Gaille joined them in the field. Being of Nature she thought she'd forever be at odds with the Plague Spiral, but the two have become quite the team. She does not anticipate enjoying the ever-rapidly approaching day when Ellesime will leave her for her own clan, nor when she and Gaille take up the post of training Xerxes, another Plague-flight dragon, and chooses instead to focus on the battle at hand and enjoy the familiar company while it lasts.
