Hemlock is the clan's alchemist, specializing in poisons and their antidotes.

Hemlock's alchemy has been invaluable to the clan, especially during times of battle. While some dragons of the nature flight are born with venomous blood or saliva and a natural resistance to poison, dragons of other flights do not have such luck. However, with the help of the alchemist, they can build up an immunity to certain toxins over time by injecting small amounts periodically. These dragons can then coat their bodies with it in preparation for battle.

Hemlock works closely with the clan's herbalist and healer, Althea, to ensure that the antidotes needed to combat his toxins are readily available. Save for himself she is the only dragon in the clan with the knowledge to replicate and cure them. Over the years he has become quite fond of the healer, but she does not seem to share his feelings. His love for her is almost ironic; she deals in life while he deals in death. Althea is always working hard to save lives and cure ailments, while Hemlock's entire life has been dedicated to coming up with new ways to kill.
