Biography
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━❄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
DEATHLESS trudged through the belly-high snow, their footsteps muffled by the ever-present blizzard. Wind howled across the barren plains, carrying with it arcane whispers of a time forgotten. Once, these lands had thrived as a metropolis thousands of dragons strong, teeming with life, laughter, and purpose. Now, only the skeletal remains of steel and stone remained, jutting from the earth like forgotten monuments. It had been centuries, maybe more, since the last ember of hope had died out in this forsaken place. DEATHLESS had been there, when the first cracks began to appear, when the memories of the world’s existence began to erode, quietly at first, then with a steady relentlessness that could not be stopped. They remembered how the first cities fell silent, one by one, their inhabitants vanishing as if they'd never been. How the songs, the laughter, the voices of the living faded like wisps of smoke, leaving behind only echoes that grew quieter with each passing day. Now, there was nothing but the cold, the ruin, and the haunting reminder that the world was forgetting itself. Beset by an unknown threat DEATHLESS couldn't even begin to comprehend, despite their many years of wandering this dying world. The frigid wind bit at their skin, but DEATHLESS felt nothing. In their long existence, they had grown numb to the passage of time, to the loss of so many faces, so many lives. The cold was familiar, like an old friend they had long since ceased to fear. It had become part of them, just as the emptiness had. They paused in front of a broken tower. What appeared to have once been a building of importance—a library, museum, some other home for the once-rich culture of this world—lay at their claws as nothing more than rubble and steel shards. The remnants of the knowledge within were nothing but dust now, the sheer winds having long torn apart and eroded everything. DEATHLESS reached out, wing brushing against the steel beam that had once supported the weight of this city's culture. It felt hollow and cold beneath their touch. Not too dissimilar from how they felt nowadays. "Why do I remain?" they whispered to the wind, their voice barely audible over the storm. "What is left to save?" But there were no answers. Only the howling wind and the fading echoes of a world that had long forgotten them.
