Biography

The Ignored

Cassandra was the second Nocturne dragon whose egg was found by the clan. Unfortunately, the first Nocturne, Weiss, was already found. The other dragons crowded around her, fascinated by the new dragon species, and Cassandra was largely overlooked. She also had the misfortune of being hatched around the same time as Weiss and Aveline, who Kokiri undertook to by probably successors of her clan. The leader's attention was largely demanded by their training, and she did not even get around to assigning Cassandra a role in the clan. There were other dragons in the clan who were of less exciting breeds, colors, or genes, but they already had their niches in the lair.

Cromwell eventually took an interest to her but only in an experimental point. Originally she was to be his apprentice, but bailed out of that plan. She then went on to be an assistant to Sybil, but the Spiral was so scatterbrained that Cassandra was sent darting back and forth constantly. She tried to be an apprentice to the medic, Ganymede, but he already had a nurse by his side, Lancer. Most other dragons were too busy to take on an assistant.

Cassandra keeps telling herself that she's awesome. She's good looking, one of the first Nocturnes, and does have skills even if she hasn't been able to utilize them. But time has been taking it's toll on her, and her self esteem is suffering.

At the moment, she flits around helping out most dragons when they need it, but only for a brief moment before moving on. Of all the Nocturnes in the clan, she most actively uses her mimicry to copy clan members with what they're doing. But this is mostly because she wants to be able to fit in with them. She also has the most talent and practice copying other species, because she's always switching roles in the clan and who she's assisting. Only sometimes is it used to annoy them.
