Pros: A new face was his goal. One who looked nicer, approachable, but also not as easy to recognize to some particular individuals. He changed everything after all, skin, wings, even the gems he could cause to come with him...

Cons: Sometimes he wishes he could get his old face, his old looks back... He can't remember how he used to be. Even his image of him in his hatchling days feels distorted to his current looks.




History

"Cotton Love" has no story about his birth, about his early life and adolescense. Cotton Love is the Auraboa who appeared to live on his lonesome in the peaks of the canyons, where snow would sometimes turn the scarce trees into a small winter wonderland, an escape from the heat below. He is a nice fellow, not often seen but he does come down to the Rex Canyon to gather supplies every once in a while. If you ask him, he'll often tell stories about various love centered stories, or tips and tricks for you and your significant other. Though tell wouldn't be the right word yet again, for he is silent. Mute is what the residents of the Rex Canyon presume. Sometimes Love wished he was indeed mute as to not have the chance to slip up and break his oath. For he is a hidden, and he would honor his leader. It's been so very, very long since they last saw each other... He doesn't even know if she would recognize him.

How could she? He changed it all. His face, his feathers, his scales. Because who would ever suspect the Hidden to hide in plain sight, so vibrantly, so non solemn and so cruel as to not help people they knew needed it.

It hurt. Though the former Auraboa was lost, Cotton Love still got to hear the news around Opica. He knew of the loneliness Free Fall faced up north, where barely any of them could ever reside again. Too well known of a home. It's why he helped send Lighted Cherry his way, even if she didnt know it. He couldn't run the risk of being recognized by a Hidden sibling.

He also knew of the broken oath of Striking Ivy. In times like these, he couldn't blame her for doing what she did. He would forgive her, once she returned to their ways, once this mess was over. He didn't know if his once better half ever would.

So many messes, so much to clean up. He could only do so from the sidelines by now. Gone were the days of glory for the Hidden. The rumors of how big they were and their influence was what kept them such a whispered about force. The truth was the had lost the war a while ago. But he couldn't stop trying to help Opica. No one deserved what would eventually happen. No one deserved what evil slumbered in its volcanic midst just trying to reach out with its rotten gray tendrils. Though that's exactly how he felt. Rotten. Like a shell of his former self. So bright, so colorful were so many of the newer generations of the Hidden. Like a mockery of the world to yell their positions. Or maybe it was their homelands way to tell them the time of hiding was done? Who knew at this point. He would continue watching, scheming, planning. As long as it would take.
