Hemingr is a terrible bragger. Half of the things he tells you are at least heavily exaggerated. He is easily provoked and rather aggressive, picking fights and being annoying being his favorite pastime. He usually leaves hatchlings and more fragile dragons alone though, it's much more fun to anger a guardian or a ridgie and then fly away laughing mockingly.

He is into flying and dangerous situations, preferably combining the two. Aerial tricks have been his burning passion ever since he was a kid.
Racing other, less talented flyers through the twisting crescendo makes him feel superior, triumphant and invincible. He still knows to be careful not to take them to the eye, because that might cause trouble – even Hemingr himself wouldn't want to try and match the eye unprepared ever again.

Hemingr's wing apparatus is completely homemade. He replaced his original wings with the weird devices after his first crazy attempt to dive through the eye of the Twisting Crescendo almost killed him and left his old wings beyond repair. Not being able to fly ever again simply wasn't an option to Hemingr, who designed artificial wings to replace the shredded tatters he was left with. No one really knows exactly how they work, he talks about them day and night but won't tell their secret no matter how much Brandr presses the issue.

Mate to Freyja, they get along quite well but even Freyja is concerned about Hemingr every now and then. Despite his reckless behavior his heart is loyal to his mate and he really likes spending time with her.
