When the clan's treasury was "mysteriously" emptied out late one night, the clan's hoard-keeper Petran set out to find out why. All he discovered was this tiny little dragonling. Left without a treasure to guard, the enormous ridgeback declared Opal to be his new treasure and constantly "borrowed" her and carried her off to the store cave/his den, where he doted on her as though she were one of his own hatchlings.
With Petran's eventual departure from the clan, Opal was inconsolable. Who else would pay as much attention to her as her papa? Farren's arrival was met with much joy. Surely this treasure-keeper would be much like the old one! Farren tolerates her theatrics, but when the nocturne isn't looking, a poorly smothered smile can sometimes be seen on the ridgeback's face. Prone to screeching "I AM A TREASURE!" when annoyed or doesn't get her way. Hides up among her adopted mother's spines or under her wings when pouting.  (art by Chiptunehero!) |
