Personality: Nemesis was once a part of the Sky Clan's military, but she left and moved to Chasm Peak to be with her mate. However, once the Sky War began she was labeled as a traitor to her homeland. Despite this she enlisted in the Shattered Knights and became a top general, fighting against those who were once her allies. She has a very black-and-white view of the world. Known for her perserverance in the face of disaster and her mercilessness on the battlefield, she gained the title of "The Smoldering General". Post-war, she has had trouble adjusting to an age of peace, but her best friend and mate Hematea is always there to support her. History: Born in the Sky Clan, Nemesis was enlisted at a young age and grew up knowing only the military life. She was the top of her class and was well known for her combat skills. One day while training, she hurt her wing and had to take an emergency landing. It was then that she met Hematea. The Pearlcatcher took care of her for only a few hours, healing the wound with her magic, but it was enough time for Nemesis to fall completely in love with her. She had never been treated so gently before, and her heart couldn't quite take it. She promised to come back with a gift as thanks for the healing and returned to the Sky Clan with a light heart. The two courted for months after that first encounter, with Nemesis stopping by every week during training to bring gifts of soft feather-woven cloaks and glassblown trinkets. Hematea in return traded her gifts of carved wood and dried flower sachets with sweet scents. Eventually Nemesis put in her application for discharge and, once approved, moved to Chasm Peak to be with Hematea. Unfortunately, this was only a year before the Sky War began. Although she was asked to return to the Sky Clan, she refused and instead offered her help to the Shattered Knights to defend Chasm Peak. Although she was marked as a traitor to her homeland, she loved her new home and did not want to see it destroyed in a war decided solely by the Council of Wings. She fought viciously on the battlefield and earned the nickname "The Smoldering General." After the end of the war, she permanantly resigned from the military and became Hematea's "housewife," as she likes to call herself. Even still, she occasionally shows up to training to see how things are going with the new recruits, and to offer advice.
