Murchadh is a strange creature. While most of the tribe are relatively peaceful and... harmonious creatures... Carnelian is a wily drake who involves himself in the thick of import and exports other clans and tribes. For a fee, of course. Outside of his professional front, Murchadh has a strong emotional tie to those who took him in and sheltered him from the world, and is fiercely loyal to those he would call kin. Of course, this tends to get him into trouble when he leaves the tribe's territories, but he knows that there will be someone to patch up his wounds when he returns. Given his bright colors and unmistakable identity, one would almost liken the drake to a peacock- and he certainly acts as such from time to time. Several females have been seen leaving rather huffily from his lair, the spiral returning with a smug grin and perhaps a scratch or two from the ire of the female. It is probably a good thing his lair is further away from the central locations, lest any hatchlings begin to emulate his behavior. _____
Murchadh finally met his match with the snappish Keir. The other male found the underground ring that the smuggler was running distasteful at best and was overall unimpressed by the fanciful displays of flirtation that the he was subjected to. However, the chase and pursuit of someone who was completely uninterested in him stumped Murchadh; it was hardly a common thing to be so rejected, let alone by a drake who genuinely seemed disinterested in any and all advances he might make.
With that in mind, Murchadh decided to hound Keir, following the rather irritated archivist around the clan on his daily rounds and attempting to decipher what made him so interesting. Eventually, it worked out.
