Verdant has been harvesting and roasting coffee beans her entire life, but this is her first time working in a coffeehouse. Teamwork does not come easy to her, but she's trying her best.

She'd been mixing poisons forever, but she'd never really had a reason to. It was just Something That Existed. She wasn't particularly interested in killing or even of protecting her clan. She just sort of existed for the longest time. Then she discovered baking. At first she was sure her new skill would just become weaponized, like everything else she thought she liked doing. Then she moved out, saw the world, and learned she could make perfectly edible baked goods and have others genuinely enjoy them. That made her tentatively happy. She wanted to keep doing that.
She met Verdant, an up and coming barista at a local cafe, and decided she wanted to do what she was doing. She learned how to brew coffee from Verdant and Chai and helped Mallow in the kitchen. For the first time in her life, she feels happy. So happy in fact, that she took a new name to reflect the newest chapter of her story.
