The Peacemaker

The tail settled with the faintest of sounds. Most dragons wouldn't have noticed it moved at all. Indigotiger smiled to himself. He wasn't most dragons, and as a bonus he had made a habit of studying his son since the boy's hatch day. The smallest of grins pulled at the skydancer's face, because it wouldn't do to allow an all-out smile. His son's movement had been subtle, almost nonexistent. An easygoing dragon with a relaxed air, he has no real enemies in the lair. He is affectionately dubbed the peacemaker. Due to his calm nature and friendship with most his lair mates he is usually brought in as a mediator or neutral party to arguments that are not resolved even after the dragons have battled. Next to nothing ruffles his feathers.The courtship of his mate Redfeather began with a beat up cabbie he wore constantly, one of the few things that could make her laugh. Eventually he bestowed her with his beloved cabbie as a token of their relationship.

One of the only times the dragons have seen Indigotiger unraveled was during Redfeather's first pregnancy. The delivery was difficult and the clan was concerned that they might lose her and her egg. In that moment there was no doubting his love for his mate as his typical calm demeanor was shattered under his pleas and demands that she live. Not even the great Shadowbinder herself could have removed him from Redfeather's side.
