Vaedren is what many dragons would call your classic adventurist. They love exploring the edges of Sornieth. In particular, the imperial is fond of delving into deep caves to find any hidden treasures to bring back anything they simply find "interesting." Which means, to some of the clans dismay, that they often track mud around the place. Which wouldn't be so bad if some of the dragons didn't have expensive carpets.
With a love for such things it was only natural that Vaedren took up jobs as both a Cartographer and Surveyor. Mapping out the land and caverns, as well as measuring technical machines tends to make their brain tick. That means they're having loads of fun. The Imperials skills are handy for keeping the diggers from falling into their deaths on a daily basis.
Besides all of these qualities, the dragon happens to be a lover of birds -- Actually refusing to eat any that scavengers will bring back for food. To much amusement (or annoyance) of others they will often hoard many of the avians to themselves, keeping them as delightful pets under their wing. No one understands where this love of birds came from, or why Vae is so determined to befriend some of the Harpy Clans. A few months back they were attacked by one of the Harpy scouts while out on a trek--Their reasons, whatever they are, is something of a mystery. Even to Vaedren.
