The Lightning Strike
Depth-Seeker 
Despite her element Zeramele is not very tech-oriented dragon: she prefers to hone her skills as a fighter and use her innate powers to destroy rather than create. Zeramele’s dislike of sea creatures stems from her Search: on her way over the Sea of Thousand Currents she got caught in a storm and attacked by a creature from the deeps. By some trick of fate, the same creature happened to be her Charge. A fishing party from the clan found her in the shallows, wounded, angry and dispirited. They took the young Guardian with them, promising shelter and help. Zeramele survived her wounds, but she is still unable to follow and protect her Charge and the knowledge of that eats her even today. She fears losing her charge completely, or never accomplishing her goal and staying as a half-creature the rest of her life. So Zera aims to conquer her fear of deeps and fight her way to the darkness of Leviathan Trench to find her Charge and tame it. Zera is not very social, and the lack of Charge makes her somewhat an outcast with other Guardians, and they have a habit of thinking her a youngling. Not to mention that she is easy to anger and surly, and the more timid youngsters fear her. She gets better along with the older members of the clan, especially some of the Skydancers, but her best friend is Zaraiya. The Denmother all but adopted the slightly younger dragon and now the two work as a trainer team. Zera gets occasionally annoyed by the mothering but deems it better than the way others avoid her. In a fight Zeramele is ferocious, striking with both her natural weapons as her lightning-magic. Underwater, she is able to easily electrocute beings to either stun or kill. She is slowly acquiring more and more mutations and prosthetics to change her body to more fit the depths. |
