indentDiode was once a violent wanderer, frustrated with everything and settling for nothing. He once traveled the Carrion Canyon alongside a band of equally unpredictable mirrors, and while he wasn't the worst of the lot, he certainly wasn't pleasant. He occasionally took up work in construction alongside other temp workers at the Wiretangle Walk, doing the intricate, time sensitive work that needed doing before heading out when he was tired of it. That all changed when he met Tesla after her reassignment to Power. She had been discouraged by her ousting from her original position in the Energy department, and was having difficulty streamlining her new battery design.

indentUpon glancing at her work, he matter-of-factly stated that crushing up sacridite would improve charging times, which stunned Tesla, and inspired her to immediately attempt to convince him to adopt a permanent position as a member of the Power Department R&D team. Although he was hesitant at first due to being exceptionally anti-social, and terrible at communication, he eventually became more of a team player, even discovering a knack for leadership he never knew he had. Diode is now the deputy head of the department, in charge of training other dragons for their roles and making sure everything is in order. He occasionally helps Tesla and Auggie with implementations of new technology, and ensures that Ayers doesn't "borrow" things which are in use.
