Circe

It's a known rule in the clan to not leave prized possessions unattended, or else they'll end up in Circe's claws. She is the clan's go-to gadget gal and renowned engineer, but she has no qualms taking trinkets she finds interesting to experiment on. More than one stray toy has come back with extra parts attached, much to the horror of a hatchling's parents. Mirablis, her closest friend in the clan, takes it upon himself to apologize to the owners of whatever Circe's wandering claws have snatched up, often returning them if he catches her before starting projects.

This is never done out of malice, merely the Coatl sating her always raging curiosity. Soteria, who has known Circe from the clan's founding days, attempts to stave off this habit by asking the clan's dragons to hand over things in need of repair. If that fails, the queen simply takes Circe with her to fight monsters; the loot they drop provides ample resources to tinker with. One thing to note is her experiments aren't always self-indulgent, and a lot of her resulting workable inventions benefit the clan.

Prone to bouts of absent-mindedness if not sufficiently engaged intellectually. Mirablis does his best to keep on eye on her when this happens, making sure she eats and rests when possible. Many dragons in the clan wonder if there's something more than friendship between the Coatls, not helped by their refusal to comment on the matter. And the fact they live together.
