It's a little odd, but it means no harm. Marros is an accidentally-awoken forest spirit that looks more concerning than it actually is- its dark form displays only curiosity to those who meet it.

» a forest spirit, perhaps some remnant of an old-age ritual
» Z'ev stirred it up in the swamps while looking for Kvell, it later followed him home
» it doesn't really belong anywhere but is particularly attached to a small, glittering stream
» makes plenty of odd noises, nothing recognizable as modern draconian speech (yet)
» Marros has been attempting to communicate with Z'ev to varying degrees of success
» it can emote startlingly well for having a solid bone face, but less expressive than a dragon
» often it will just stand quietly near someone of interest and observe
» which is, understandably, alarming if you aren't expecting to turn around and see it
» when Z'ev isn't around it also enjoys following Cheruvio, who is rather compassionate towards it
» it is always accompanied by Cyrue; the spirits of nature become distressed without each other
