Terribly spoiled and filthy rich, it's truly a miracle that Kasbo learned anything at all at Astrolodome's finest academy. It surprised his peers that he breezed through trials with innate talent for arcane magicks, unburdened by the effort of studying; his only fault seemed to be his inability to temper his curiosity, but that hardly bothered him. After all: why should he, the most brilliant dragon in Sornieth, limit himself? Naturally he graduated with top marks, and continued to master his spellworking ability with the high arcana. It was only fitting when young mages were eagerly pleading to be his apprentice. Although Kasbo initially outright rejected the idea, it was considered a rite of passage for all Archmages to take on an apprentice; and of course, he deserved the title. He selected one promising mage to take under his wing, a frail little fae named Bixby who had just enough spark to catch his eye. They immediately delved into the complex magicks that he enjoyed. Novas and spellsteals, teleports and counterspells, his apprentice could barely keep up. It only took one miscast polymorph for Kasbo to realize the gravity of his failure as a mentor. Trapped in the form of a fairy octopus, Bixby communicates through notes as they attempt to reverse the effects. Together they travel all over Sornieth in hopes of finding a cure.
