Biography

Formerly of the Saurus Clan

He blew in on the eve of the Mistral Jamboree. The first thing they noticed was the curious whistling on the breeze, coming from nowhere and everywhere at once. The melody was haunting at first, but then it soared into joyous trills and swooped to a series of contented whole notes. That was the moment, though no one else knew it yet, that Clarigale decided to end his lonely wandering and make his home with the Saurus clan.

When they finally noticed the new music was actually a new dragon, the clan welcomed the shiny newcomer with open wings. They tried to ask where he came from, but he only shrugged and whistled. Despite his lack of speech, the clan took his arrival as a sign from the Windsinger. Why else would he be here? He looked like the wind made flesh, and the whistling only added to the impression. His beauty made him quite popular with the ladies, though few were bold enough to approach him. Imersha convinced him to nest with her, but afterwards she said the whistling nearly drove her crazy at such close quarters.

There was one other dragon who found Clarigale fascinating, but he kept his distance...at first.

Clarigale noticed Jacquerel noticing him, but he didn't say anything about it. He never said anything, after all. But an astute observer might have noticed that his whistling grew thoughtful whenever the other male was around.

The sleeping curse caught us unaware. Indeed, we knew nothing about it until over a year later, when some of the eldest dragons began to stir. Most of the clan still sleeps, waiting for a cure.

Those who woke had two choices: stay, attempt to wake the others, and protect the clan - or go, and seek out new lives. The world has gone on without us, and we know our clan will never be the same. All we can do now is pick up the pieces and attempt to forge something good from the ashes.
