Biography

Pestilence
Official clan sorceress/hunter/volunteer guard
(Hunts for food, occasionally guards the camp, and does whatever task may require magic)

"And when you die
I won't be at your wake
No eulogy from me
Just a smile on my face!"
-"Caught Like A Fly", by Falling In Reverse

Pestilence is, outwardly, a deceptively calm individual - however, anyone to earn her ire will be
quick to see through the facade to her vicious core. That isn't to say, of course, that Pestilence is incapable of genuinely good-natured moods - she takes great pride in her position as official clan sorceress, with the protection she provides to her fellows. The devastating Plague magic Pestilence yields is generally frightening enough to see that any attacker that catches sight of it flees (usually with the clan's guards hot on their tail); the magic isn't, however, strictly damaging - Pestilence often helps out with small tasks around the clan.
Her journey to the Flickering Shadows Clan was one prompted by a feeling estrangement in her
former Plague-aligned clan; she didn't see the supposed beauty of spreading disease and squashing all "weaker" lifeforms. However, with her magic as powerful as it is, the clan wouldn't have let her go without a fight - so she waited until nightfall, one day, and snuck past the few guards that were still awake. She ran, traversing the rest of the Scarred Wasteland as fast as she could, and only beginning to slow as she crossed the border into The Tangled Wood. The murky, swirling shadows there did nothing to put her at ease, however, so she kept moving. Eventually, she came (exhausted and raw-footed) to the waterway between The Tangled Wood and The Viridian Labyrinth. After a moment of consideration, Pestilence decided she'd probably be better off in the Labyrinth's outskirts than in The Tangled Wood. Sighing, knowing this would expend the last of her energy, Pestilence crossed the waterway, landing in the Gladeveins, passing out momentarily.
She awoke to two dark skydancers leaning over her speaking about something currently
unintelligible to her ears. Fuzz slowly fading from her vision, Pestilence moves to stand up, prompting the two other dragons to whip their heads toward her, and take on relieved (if still concerned) expressions; they ask her if she's alright, or lost, and Pestilence responds that, well, she's not really alright, but she's not lost either - just... displaced from her former home. Making quick eye contact, the two skydancers start talking over each other before one of them cuts off, and allows the other to make an offer: would Pestilence, perhaps, like to join a local Nature clan? Startled by the offer, expecting them to be more hostile to a Plague-born dragon, she slowly agrees and follows them when they turn away from her, saying their clan's camp is that way. They introduce themselves as Dunkelheit (the one who'd made the offer) and Zerif, members of the Flickering Shadows Clan; they'd been headed to a fishing spot when they'd seen her. Once they arrive at the camp (a guard watching Pestilence warily), Zerif went to fetch the clan's leaders, who both other dragons agreed would certainly allow her to stay. The clan's primary leader, Obsidian, did indeed welcome Pestilence with open wings, delighted to have a magic user joining the clan.
