Elysium Head Courier -- Formerly known as The Ever-blooming Talon Of Paradise

Eventually, everything comes to a standstill. Things that consumed you, no longer carry any weight when faced with the gravity of what has happened to you and the ones you love. Elysium was a paladin, an insurmountable wall with bones of iron and claws of steel. Every battlefield she crossed was besieged with razor-sharp petals. She sought to become strong, so that she might look her warmatron mother in the eyes, and confidently call her a fool for abandoning her. She met Dissonance while crossing the Shifting Expanse in her quest. Exhausted and beaten, she wondered if giving up was the best option while the Mirror diligently nursed her back to health. When she was back on her feet, she stayed in the Deepden Citadel-- only to train, she said. Only to grow stronger. She fell into line with Siegfried and Dissonance, and the three came to rely on one another. Elysium found herself thinking less and less of her quest, and more of how to better life in Deepden. Of settling in, and protecting her home. The Fall of Deepden was... more than she was ever braced to handle. The chaos of the battlefield brought into the home she'd carved for herself, for her mate and children. She lost many friends, family on that horrible night; she's eternally grateful she didn't lose more. But the sentiment does little to soothe the ache of what is still missing. As Abersteth settled, Elysium finally began to feel the weight of her armor, the stiffness in her bones. The other warriors she'd bonded with began to let themselves feel the strain of their lives as well... And one cold, quiet night, the decision was made to disband the Arms and Suits. They were tired of the fight, and no longer needed as Abersteth's roots strengthened and the new Citadel began to find its identity. Elysium now leads the couriers, intent on whipping them into shape. |
