BIOGRAPHY
Upon first interaction, Zanthum is one of the most polite, pleasant Spirals you could ever hope to meet. Born into the competitive and duplicitous forest that is the Foxfire Bramble, Zanthum is a quick-thinking master of misdirection. He has taken up the role of a merchant, and the Refuge provides the perfect spot to ply his wares to passerby dragons. His glimmering scales and starry satin clothes certainly give off the impression of a well-to-do salesman, and he pushes around an ornate cart filled with little trinkets, potions, and other odds and ends. However, dragons who stick around long enough will notice that he takes the same route, selling the same things he didn't sell yesterday, with the same tired old sales pitches. He never seems to give up, no matter how often he's told to buzz off and take his cart elsewhere. He can get a little unbearable at times, and he sometimes he seems to forget who he talked to earlier in the same day. Still, when he collects new stock from the Tanglewood his wares are always quality, and for a few days, he enjoys a boom of success. After that, it's back to the same routine. Zanthum is upset by any change in his routine, and will often appear troubled for the rest of the day if something goes awry.

BIOGRAPHY
Born in a crowded tree colony in the Foxfire Bramble, Zanthum had always been used to the swift pace of things there. Everything always happened so fast, and if you weren't quick enough you would lose out every time. As such, he took to making absolutely sure that his stock was noticed, going as far as to barge into other dragons' houses to coax them into buying his wares. In his home, it was a completely regular occurrence. One day, another Spiral crashed into him and attempted to steal from his cart while she thought he was stunned. Obviously, Zanthum was immediately enamored with her. After a swift, confusing conversation, the two Spirals agreed to be partners. While he and Lalette were together for a time, the relationship was ill-advised and rushed from the start. When asked about it, Zanthum will respond that he prefers not to talk about it; it's almost as if he's hiding something about their time together. Zanthum is a polarizing face in the Refuge. Sure, his good intentions and competitive prices convince plenty of customers, but he enjoys the company of very few friends outside of that. He likes trying to sell shiny new things to many residents, but the feeling is not mutual. However, Whist has always intrigued him, and he takes the time to visit her every day. Unlike everyone else, Whist seems content to listen to his constant stream of information. He's stopped trying to sell her things, and now he talks about his day and tells jokes. Occasionally, he even gets a chuckle and a few words out of her. He appreciates her company more than she knows.
