Anyone who meets Winter knows there's something not quite normal about her. She has a certain heaviness to the way she walks, a certain hesitance when she speaks, and a strange wariness in her deep Shadow eyes. She prefers solitude to the company of others.

This elegant dragoness is the clan historian, a job that befits her well thanks to the fact that she has been a part of it since shortly after it was founded by her mother, Levana. Before Horus and Bastet took over as the reigning couple of the lair, Winter was the second in command and closest adviser of Levana- an ironic position, considering Winter's resentment towards her mother.

Winter was one hatchling in a clutch of five, and had a special bond with her sister Silvania, who had also been a part of this clutch. The two were never separated from one another, until one day when Levana (who at the time, was the Clan queen) sent Winter out on an extended patrol around the Clan territory. When Winter returned, her sister and all three of her other siblings were gone. Levana had sold them to some travelling dragons from other flights. It is presumed that all of Winter's siblings were exalted- none of them were ever seen again.

When she received the news that she would never again see her dear sister, Winter was heartbroken. Levana unwisely made cold remarks to Winter about how "at least I kept you," and "you don't need that sniveling brat following you everywhere anyway." Winter never forgave her mother, and did not speak for months after her sister's disappearance.

Levana, after some time, laid a second clutch of eggs, from which hatched three little guardians. After seeing her new siblings, WInter spoke for the first time in months. One of the new children looked almost just like her dear Silvania. She claimed the child as her charge, and vowed to never let her new sister anywhere near her cruel mother. She carefully raised her charge, whom she called Baridi, away from the Clan queen. But one day, the little one became curious to meet this dragoness who she had been forbidden to meet.

One night while Winter was sleeping, Baridi sneaked out, into Levana's personal cave. The huge, dark queen greeted her daughter gently, who relaxed immediately. This friendly dragon couldn't possibly be dangerous.

But she was never seen again.

Winter was absolutely devastated after losing her charge. Thanks to her mother, she had lost the two dragons she had loved the most. She would never again trust Levana, but still stayed her mother's second-in-command until Levana's fall from power.

When Bastet and Horus took over the reigning positions in the clan, Winter quietly backed down from her high position as a council member for a more peaceful job more suited to her.
