A talented magician, Leucis was born to an aristocratic family of Earth magical masters in Dragonhome. He never really quite fit in, and frequently found himself feeling trapped under expectations.

Always a softer dragon by nature, with a kind heart and a persistent ability to see the best in the world, he was frequently made fun of for being too soft, and he hated the life that he felt forced into.

When Leucis finally set out on his own to live as an adventurer, he didn't think he'd last very long. Rudolf, an old friend from school and a jaded adventurer longing for a softer life, helped him find his footing and come into his own.

Now, Leucis feels sure that his softness is something to be proud of, and he helps encourage Rudolf's softer side as well. Leucis looks a lot like Rudolf, Rudolf looks a lot like Leucis, and they both look very happy.

HISTORY

____As an heir of a family of powerful Earth magicians, Leucis was expected to be stoic, masculine, and perfectly rigid and hard in all things. This wasn't an expectation he was ever able to meet, and running away from home as an adult was the best thing that ever happened to him. He and his husband Rudolf bring out the best in each other, encouraging each other to live life on their own terms, and Leucis never tires of the thrill of adventure. For the dragons sailing with him, Leucis is a dragon well worth following.

PERSONALITY

____Most often friendly, kind, and cheerful as a rule, Leucis always sees the best in others and is a master at finding the bright side in any situation. He is the empathetic and compassionate sort, excellent at thinking outside the box - he was never much good at fitting in, anyway. He can be petty and a bit catty, and certainly has a flair for dramatics. He can be surprisingly ruthless, and has no qualms about leaving rival ships burning in the middle of the sea if they threaten the dragons he sails with.

LIKES

____Leu is a dragon of fine taste and style. He loves nice things and isn't afraid to admit to it. He adores fashion and bright colors, and can be a bit of a clothes snob. In other dragons, he admires loyalty and a genuine nature, and has little patience for hypocrites and turncoats. Truly a dragon born to be on the road, he never tires of seeing new places and soaking up new experiences, and easily grows bored with monotony. Leu loves reading, poetry, and a nice strong cup of tea in the afternoons.

DISLIKES

____Easily getting lost inside his own head, Leu has a tendency to overthink and catastrophize. Rudolf can forecast his worried breakdowns based on the tone of his chatter. Leu still has awful self-esteem, and can't stand bragging about himself and gets shy with compliments. He doesn't like monotony or feeling stuck, though fortunately he's a dragon who can see the beauty in anything and is fairly easily entertained. He has very little patience for cruelty, rudeness, and unkindness in others.

RELATIONSHIPS

Rudolf is Leucis' husband. A once-in-a-generation talent as a magician, Leucis was once a bit envious of Rudolf's skill but quickly came to see the miserable dragon underneath. The two are inseparable, helping each other become more comfortable with themselves and loving each other unconditionally.

Rat is a close friend and officer on the Rakiraki under Leucis' command. A no-nonsense, street-smart dragon, Rat can seem terse and even crude on first brush, but he's an absolutely invaluable presence to keep Leucis down-to-earth and help him captain the ship without getting lost in his own head.

Taye is a sailor on Leucis' ship and a good friend. A gentle soul, Taye shares Leu's love of many softer things, and as they both tend to push themselves far too hard - to the point of causing themselves harm on more than one occasion - they help keep each other safe and accountable.
