Biography
Of Loam and Rowena
Meeting
She glowed.
More than just her color.
Her sweet personality seemed to sparkle with happiness.
Rowena.
He met her eyes every time she looked his way.
So he caught her surprised smile when she heard his name and watched her mouth it silently.
He stayed where he was, enjoying just being near her.
Until she was right in front of him.
"Hello?" he asked in the tongue twisting language his mother had taught him.
Her eyes widened and her color deepened in a blush.
He grew amused and oddly pleased.
"Hi." She said back shyly, her golden eyes fluttering before meeting his boldly.
A zing of attraction tightened his nerves.
And he drew in a deep breath.
Growing
They grew to adulthood together.
Training to be strong enough not to be bullied.
Neither had a passion for it so that as far as they went.
Telling each other their dreams.
Slowing combining those dreams together.
Into a life they wanted.
He was intoxicated with her.
She fill his mind and heart.
When she wasn't around he felt lost.
Empty.
Hearing her laughter.
Seeing her smile.
Feeling her touch.
Those simple joys made each day better.
Separating
Her face was stained in tears.
His heart ached as he clenched his jaw.
Wanting to comfort her but not knowing how too.
Becoming adults hadn't brought the joy they had expected.
For unbenounced to them they were pledged to others since the very first day.
And were to be sent to different flights with different mates.
They had no choice.
Their first nest was to be with someone they had never met.
An arranged pairing.
To carry on Bloodlines.
He could still hear her sobs as she watched him turned and fly away.
He couldn't bare seeing her with a dragons whose colors matched hers.
So he didn't look back.
Glancing instead at Hippolyta, his new mate, a dragon in shades of purple.
She nodded to him coldly.
Honor bound he nodded back.
Back Home
He arrived back home.
With his two hatchlings and his mate.
Her delicate health couldn't take laying two eggs and all the travel.
Shortly after they settled she faded away before his eyes.
They had become friends while in the shadow flight.
He mourn her sincerely.
Their hatchling went off to be trained to follow the bloodline's calling.
He made sure that what had happened to him didn't happen to Polonius.
His mate was found and sent off with him.
They would be childhood sweethearts.
Rowena wasn't back yet from the light flight.
And all of a sudden he couldn't stand being here alone.
If he wanted to be in charge of his fate.
And never have his decisions made for him again.
He needed to be stronger.
His clan understood and contacted an Allied Clan to train him.
Off he went with determination.
Training
The dragons were kind.
The landscape in the Nature clan was incredible.
He worked hard everyday.
Still it wasn't an easy goal he had set himself.
Time past both agonizingly slow and so fast he couldn't catch his breath.
