First impression is that he is an apprentice airship pilot. He met his captain (boss? not sure the "correct" term) at a port where he had been working as part of the maintenance crew.
He enjoys:
Tinkering
Flying/Traveling to new lands
Learning new things/bit of a renaissance type in that way

P.s. Dreams of having his own airship one day.

humm, going on airship pilot: the accent is cyborg-y, so maybe he has cybernetic enhancements? maybe just because, maybe to assist with a disability (like, he cant fly without his beetle wings). or maybe they're just completely visual, because he wants to look the part; maybe the scarab is the mascot of his airship, and he designed it. Either way I definitely get the impression that because of the cybernetics, he definitely knows his way around mechanics, and probably works on the ship itself, and can either fix issues or in general enhance its performance.
