Stephan is immature and childlike, with a juvenile sense of humor. He's prone to missing details that his peers may pick up on, but he's very personable and has more empathy than he usually knows what to do with. He's fun-loving and enjoys goofing around.

Stephan is not considered particularly intelligent by most standards, but he's good at taking directions and his emotional intelligence is impressive. He may struggle to solve a math equation, but he's a pro at navigating emotional situations and he has no trouble relating to other dragons or putting himself in their shoes. His feelings - and the feelings of others - come before logic for him, and it's normal for him to jump to conclusions or choose a course of action based only on how he or one of his clanmates is feeling. For example, Lyune was upset when his workspace was moved to the outskirts of the lair. Stephan's solution was to move the workspace back into the main lair; a solution he came to without considering that Lyune's lab was moved for the safety of the clan.

Stephan works as assistant to Lyune, helping create potions. He spends a lot of time hanging around the potion shop or in the market of traveling merchants that is hosted on the clan's territory. He enjoys browsing the shops, though it's not often that he has the treasure to actually purchase anything.

In the potion shop, he's surprisingly helpful, as he's good at taking direction, and Lyune's off-beat personality means the two get along well. Some days they don't get much work done, though. Stephan's empathetic and kind nature means he gets on well with most anyone, Lyune included, because while Lyune's eccentricities are off-putting for many, Stephan is less hung up on such things, as he connects with others based first and foremost on the way he relates to their emotions. Personality aside, if Stephan can sympathize with someone, he can be their friend - and he's never met someone he can't sympathize with.

He's not the most popular dragon, but he's liked well enough, and he doesn't have any particular enemies among the clan. He's known to be a sweet and kind dragon if one can get past his immature personality. Some less patient dragons, however, can become irritated with his immature nature and his general lack of traditional book smarts. Although he's not stupid, he's not great in traditional measures of intelligence. On top of this, he's certainly prone to acting and speaking before giving it any real, logical thought - not on impulse, but because the logic of something is not what naturally comes to him first. The logical consideration comes to him eventually, but only after he's already acted.
