The Spectacled Flying-Fox is of the nocturnal variety as they are bats! These not so little guys reach around 10 inches at full maturity and can be found in Tropical climates and are most commonly found in Countries like Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. These types of bats form groups called Camps which can have tens of thousands of bats. These mammals are categorized as Frugivores they maintain a healthy diet of Citrus and Mango.

They fully mature at 2 years old and carry 1 pup at a time for 7 months! These guys are independent at 5 months and have a healthy population. They affect the environment positively by being seed dispersers and pollinators of plant species due to their fruity diet. These guys feel out their environment through a developed sense of hearing and vision instead of echolocation like some other species of bat.
