As a child, Butch wandered a little too far from home and got lost. She kept wandering, eventually crossing paths with a tundra and guardian who took her in.

Quality meat can be hard to find in the Abiding Boneyard, but Butch has a nose for it. Why this is is a mystery, since she doesn't eat it herself, but she's helping provide for the clan and they won't look a gift cerdae in the mouth. Butch not only finds quality meat to feed his clan, but also goes out and sells it in exchange for treasure and other resources.
